The visa interview is short โ often under five minutes โ but it decides everything. Officers are checking one thing: are you a genuine student who will study, fund yourself honestly, and follow the rules? Prepare for these and you will walk in calm.
About your choice of course and university
- Why this course and how does it fit your past studies?
- Why this specific university and not one in India?
- How many universities did you apply to, and which gave offers?
About finances
- Who is sponsoring your education and what do they do?
- What is the total cost, and how will you cover tuition and living?
- Do you have an education loan or savings proof ready?
About your intent to return / post-study plans
- What are your plans after completing the course?
- Do you have family in the destination country?
- Why should you be granted this visa?
How to answer well
Three rules carry every interview: be honest, be brief, and be consistent with your documents. Do not memorise scripted paragraphs โ officers can tell. Know your numbers (tuition, sponsor income, loan amount) cold, make eye contact, and never volunteer information you were not asked for.
The biggest mistake
Contradicting your own application. If your SOP says one career goal and you say another in the interview, that is an instant red flag. Re-read everything you submitted the night before.
We run full mock interviews with every student โ recorded, reviewed, and repeated until you are confident.
